What is the Opportunity?

As part of Group Risk Management (GRM) team, the Data Analyst will provide day to day data services for Enterprise Model risk reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Model Risk Governance (MRG) team to automate the reporting process, improve data quality and expand the data usage

What will you do?

  • Map existing processes and build solutions to continuously support Enterprise Model Risk Management (EMRM) model governance and on-going reporting requirements
  • Provide day to day data services for EMRM model risk reporting.
  • Build support for data synchronization and model risk report generation / automation cross different platforms
  • Monitor daily / monthly scheduled jobs
  • On-going enhance and maintain existing tools and platforms
  • Expand and improve data controls, QA, and best practices
  • Act as subject matter expert in supporting MRG with analytics of data for risk management reporting
  • Cooperate with validation team for validation report pre-population and validation testing automation
  • Support the validation team for code repository and data repository management

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have:

  • Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, VBA and extensive development experience in Microsoft Office software products
  • Proven experience in code development for data analysis, including building the logic and business rules for procedure automation and the data consolidation with cloud services
  • Experience in the design of User Interface and the development of Cloud services
  • Experience in validating the quality of data and reports by designing and conducting appropriate scenarios, tests and analytical approaches
  • Ability to respond quickly and to independently conduct research on best practices while dealing with innovation requirements to reach solutions
  • Creative thinking to support or conduct the development of practical solutions
  • Knowledge of financial regulatory requirements and guidelines
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

Nice-to-Have:

  • Previous familiarity with Big Data, including data processing automation and data visualization
  • Analytical and modelling experience is a plus
  • FRM or PRM certification
